Tonight one of the best basket-ball players of all time will receive a fantastic award.
Scottie Pippen will be granted I think the greatest honor of his life when he is inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The person that will introduce him will be the one and only Michael Jordan, his more-heralded teammate from Chicago Bulls.
A true reward for an amazing player.
Though Pippen is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), he is most remembered for his time with the Chicago Bulls, with whom he was instrumental to six NBA Championships and their record 1996 season of 72 wins. Pippen, along with Michael Jordan, played an important role in transforming the Bulls team into a vehicle for popularizing the NBA around the world during the 1990s.
I won’t spend more time and words to describe Scottie Pippen. I am sure you are quite familiar with his name and activity.
I will say just this: I have always liked what Pippen did on the basket-ball court. The bound between him and Jordan was one of th best example what team means. Though at the very beginning they were not in good relations, after some time playing together success came all over them.
Just for old times I will show you some of the most impressing videos of Pippen&Jordan. Unfortunately I can’t speak about Pippen without reminding Jordan. They were a team, two persons playing like one.
I will show you the way the team was presented when playing at home. I still get chills anytime I see this.
And the second video will be some headlights from Scottie Pippen’s games.
Just to quote him: ‘Sometimes a player’s greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team’.
Just enjoy the videos and feel free to go back in time and smile:
The whole induction speach of Scottie Pippen into the Hall of Fame you can watch it right here:
