Being the first post this year I’ve decided to present you a speech that I came across these days.
The person to deliver it was the president of the United States of America, Mr. Barack Obama and the place where he delivered it was at the 130-th USA Coast Guard Graduation Ceremony.
Honestly I don’t think I would have stopped at this speech if I hadn’t read a few days ago while surfing the net a piece of news about a Romanian that succeeded in graduation from there. The Romanian’s name is Ionut Cristea and I am sure you have heard about it from the news.
I am not interested in the news (though it’s quite a thing to graduate from USA Coast Guard Academy), but I will say some words about the speech delivered by Mr. Barack Obama.
First of all for those who didn’t have the pleasure to listen to it I strongly recommend you to watch it till the end.
You will find a strong lesson of democracy, leadership and recognition of merits.
It is known that the USA president is a very good speaker, but from time to time he manages to outcome the previous performances.
It was his final commencement address of the season. The president traditionally delivers a commencement address every year to one of the service academies.
The Coast Guard Academy is the smallest of the five. Obama addressed the U.S. Military Academy Class of 2010 at West Point last year.
Without any other introduction I let you enjoy the speech:
